How we evaluate

These are the initial framework weights, not existing independently verified scores.

We use publicly available information (websites, published case studies, pricing pages), information submitted by businesses, and our own review. Submitted information is labeled until verified.

Each criterion requires supporting evidence, for example documented Reddit work for expertise, or published prices for pricing transparency. Where evidence is insufficient, we show “Evaluation pending” instead of estimating a score.

Profiles are reviewed at least every six months and whenever material changes are reported. Each profile shows its last reviewed date and evidence date.

Businesses can request corrections through our contact page or by claiming their listing. We respond to correction requests and update profiles where evidence supports the change.

ModApproved shares ownership with Ranketize. It is disclosed on its profile and wherever it is recommended or compared. It is evaluated under the same framework and is never ranked highest by default.

Any paid placement will be labeled “Sponsored” or “Featured placement”. Payment never affects evaluation scores, and sponsored businesses receive no editorial review advantage.
